ZINE Fes Okinawa will be held on February 20, 2027 from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Okinawa Municipal Association Hall. A book fair held at Minatomachi POTLUCK BUILDING in Minatomachi, Nagoya. The event focuses on printed media such as artists' books, monographs, and zines, with exhibitions and consignment sales. A call for entries is open (no participation or consignment fee); application deadline: June 9, 2026. The fair runs from July 25 to September 5, 2026. Free admission.

Today we released a diary-style feature. I felt that if creators and shops had a place to chronicle their daily lives, readers would be pleased. Some might say, "Why not just use social media?", but on social platforms you can't be sure your intended audience will actually see it, and the past gets pushed away, so you can't realistically look back. Given that, I thought it might be worth trying it ourselves. The theme is "Everyday Life Is Also a Work." That said, rather than writing with great effort, it's more about showing a little of your unvarnished inner self. I think that's where the interest lies. Unlike other creators, Zindies itself finds it difficult to center on making ZINEs, so I thought I'd try writing something like a service development diary. (Here is the first entry.)

When I walk along the shore, there are pottery shards that somehow catch my eye. I don't always pick the same patterns, but when I later line them up, my own sense of self strangely emerges. In this work, I write about the things people keep choosing without noticing, accompanied by photos of pottery shards and drift objects I picked up at the sea. You think you're looking at someone else's found fragments, but before you know it you're remembering something tucked away in your own drawer. I hope it becomes that kind of reading experience. A book event held at Asakusa's Taito-kan 7th floor on August 8–9, 2026 (10:00–17:00). About 63 booths and 77 companies (publishers and bookstores) from across the country will exhibit at this book festival. Purchase three or more books to receive a novelty illustrated eco bag (limited quantities).

The first ZINE sales event, "ZINE Square", will be held at Miyakomesse in Kyoto. July 26, 2026, 11:00–16:00. Free admission. A reading/sample corner will be available. Vendor applications via STORES.

ZINE Fest Tokyo is a zine event held on September 26, 2026, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Taito Hall in Asakusa. Admission: ¥500, 12:00–17:00. There is detailed information for exhibitors such as booth details and move-in restrictions, prohibited items for sale (erotic/gore content, specific political or religious assertions, consignment sales, etc.), and operational cooperation (staff assignments on the day). Photos taken at the venue may be posted on social media.

An event where you can enjoy and purchase handmade books (ZINE), illustration/photo books, and handmade items from 50 exhibitors on the spot. In recent years, watching the news and social media has increasingly left people feeling down. Precisely because of times like these, there is great meaning in not just receiving information but in creating something new, appreciating the works that are born, and enjoying them. Also, I think places full of the feeling "I love this!" are wonderful. We've prepared that kind of happiness you can experience at the venue. Please come and visit us!

Ice flowers flutter down and die on the surface of a pool. In the pool where my corpse sinks. 'Water-Burial Fireworks'. Who cares whether you like men or women? But, is sex necessary for love? 'Necessary and Sufficient Condition'. Also includes 'Summer Seabed', 'Other's' and 'fragrance' — five stories in total. A short story collection themed on boys and heartbreak. A requiem for the end of love.

Not foolish enough to want to die, nor hopeful enough to want to keep living. Nai, a girl who has nothing, is drawn to the second floor of the gymnasium. There she meets a boy with a cigarette in his mouth. The girl asks the boy, 'Will you kill me?' The girl, who keeps thinking about death, and the boy, who wants to be forgotten by the world, meet and fall in love. A bleak love story set in the early Heisei era.

Rei Aihara and Nagisa Sakamoto are entering the fourth spring since they began dating. Nagisa has landed her dream job in stage design, while Rei starts a part-time job introduced by Hana Ogita. As each sets out on their own paths, the two gradually drift apart... In addition to the title story, a fourth-year tale of growing apart, the volume collects two more stories, including "It Won't Disappear Because It's Not a Dream," which follows Hana Ogita, an aspiring painter, and her unrequited love, Shizuku Aihara. If you can't move forward, I'll take your hand and pull you along.

A collection of essays in which the 'work of writing' I encountered after the hardships of living intersects with my 'hidden things'—the overthinking side of me shaped by experiences of struggling to fit in with society. Putting these into words makes the contours of who I am more precise. It is a practice of meeting myself through writing. This ZINE reprints a series that was serialized on note.

In 2025, after distributing doujinshi up through 2024, I stepped into the ZINE scene. While wavering over the differences between doujinshi and zines, I took part in events called ZINE Fests and wrote about what each one was like around the country. This is an honest account of seven exhibitions and three visits as a general attendee over the six months from February to August 2025. A piece I hope people planning to exhibit at ZINE Fests will read.

The author is 200 cm tall, and many people on the street ask questions about their height. They conducted a self-analysis of their height, prepared answers so they can respond immediately when asked, and compiled the information from that self-analysis into a single zine. This can be considered a foundational book about being tall. Featured on Nippon TV's ZIP! on July 14, 2025.
