――Let's talk about finding a key. In a sense, everyone is blind.
《Kakuyomu Contest 9 Entertainment General Special Award》
《5th Everyone's Tweet Literature Award Domestic Edition 2nd Place》
In August 1992, a nine-year-old boy named Toby lost his sight in a hurricane in Florida. His parents continued to treat him with unchanging love, but Toby's heart was dominated by dissatisfaction, a sense of unfairness, and frustration, unable to escape. Four years later, the family moved to the rural town of Nineveh, Maine. During a walk with his pet dog Humming given by his father, Toby finds an old key in the woods. Its owner is Jean Goodspeed. While feeling distrust and irritation towards this man who smokes, drinks, plays the guitar, engages in penetrating conversations, and gave him bad chocolate bars, he simultaneously feels solace and a strange trust.
At the diner Ectabana he visited with Jean, Toby meets Sarah. Captivated by the charm of her "recited" words, Toby finds flavor in the menu. Attracted to her, he also notices the 'fear' hidden within her words, and wanting to help her, he attempts to uncover the truth.
A long novel depicting the facts and truths as reflected in each of their hearts.

[Author Profiles] In order of works featured.
◯Takato Mikami
Born in Osaka Prefecture. In 2024, won the Grand Prize of the [GOAT x monogatary.com Literary Award] with the short story "You Don't Need to Taste Letters". The delightful letters in the work were highly acclaimed.
From short poetic literature such as short poems, haiku, and senryu, to comedy scripts, plays, game scenarios, and catchphrases, his love for words is extensive.
In the Umaibo Senryu, he has twice won honorable mentions under the names "Takoyaki-kun" and "Uma Taro". As a child, he believed there were bones in his own eyeballs.
◯Kiaki Sawada
An 18-year-old who wants to live surrounded by books and budgerigars. Most of her reading history is occupied by fantasy novels. Her dream is to live in a house like a library. Her favorite book she has encountered so far is Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables." Her favorite authors are Diana Wynne Jones and Edward Carey.
◯Okita Kumi
Nice to meet you. I'm Okita Kumi. It's almost my first experience having something I've written printed on paper and delivered to someone, and I'm very happy about it. I occasionally post short novels and essays on the novel posting site Kakuyomu. There are many times when I'm busy with work and not very active, but I update at my own pace (I should be posting one or two new stories soon!). If you like "Queen's Crown", I'd be happy if you drop by from time to time. Until we meet again somewhere.
◯Shuka Iruma
I aim for the perfect corpse every day. I love the white moon visible on winter mornings and imagine soiling the blue sky. I've continued writing poetry with hopes of eventually becoming a novelist. A small being standing on the branches of frozen whispers. Sometimes smiles.
◯Ito Kawabe
I'm not good at self-introductions but tried making a list, so I hope you'll read it.
Enjoys music, movies, and novels.
Likes sunbathing after greeting the houseplants.
Likes visiting shrines and temples.
Dislikes the entrance of convenience stores on summer nights.
Fears insects.
Loves pudding.
Thank you.
◯Kojiro Kakinoki
A rare human who may or may not exist with one person per prefecture and is very lenient with himself. Nice to meet you.
kakinokikojiro.jimdofree.com
◯Chikuwa Note
A composite creature of chikuwa and notes. Sensitive to sunlight. Being timid, captures can be easily achieved by appearing non-threatening and applying a headlock once it's off guard. Although easy to capture, they are of no real use once caught, so it's best to keep a diary of your observation and quickly release them.
◯Niji NoNolan
Primarily composed of cats. The pseudonym is derived from Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan. Readers are surely Emma Thomas. Was always searching for a reason to write, and reached "Testament". May the words born leave a mark on someone’s heart.
Has authored "Sono Humming wa 7" published by KADOKAWA, digital books "Flamingo on the Silver Plate" by Discover Twenty One, and "Baby-chan".
◯Masataka Taguchi
Started writing poetry from high school days' poems.
His work has been published in magazines such as "Message" 1981 and "JUNK No.2" 2001.
Started submitting to Monthly Cocoa Republic from 2023.
Has been influenced by writers such as Misuzu Kaneko, Chuya Nakahara, Kenji Miyazawa, and Takashi Matsumoto.
"The sky is made of courage".
◯Tarako Ame
A person who dearly loves Western music, movies, and cats. Lives in Iwate. The touching encounter with the short poems of Hiroyuki Sasai in school started them on their poetic journey. After experiencing the Great East Japan Earthquake, they completed their first series "Tattoo of the Moon" themed on the life of the sea. They also write poems capturing delicate human emotions and humorously satirizing modern society. Living faithfully to the call of the soul is their motto, cherishing floating words and feelings like bubbles.
◯Eiya Misaki
Somehow became a university student.
Loves tangerines enough to eat a whole box in one day. Living alone allows an indulgent lifestyle, frequently ordering tangerines for delivery. Also loves wasabi-flavored snacks, eating them to take breaks during writing. Prefers sushi without wasabi.
◯Gojuumaru Ganaha
Born in 1990, Okinawa Prefecture. Leo sign. Blood type O. Holds the philosophy "Writing stories is revenge on life, which can only be lived once"— inspired by words found somewhere before (later discovered to be based on words by Kaoru Kitamura). Started writing novels after entering university. Has always had a strong desire to do nothing since childhood. Very strong.

This is a labor essay about my experiences of getting hooked on daily temporary jobs and working in 180 different locations over the course of a year. I hope this book reaches all working people!
Zindies' mission is to connect the three groups — people who create, people who deliver, and people who enjoy — centered on works called ZINEs, and to build a world where many new works are born.
This booklet is the ZINE we created to introduce Zindies. It's more of a pamphlet than a booklet, but please pick it up and we'd be delighted if you joined Zindies.
Hello, I'm Ryo Yoshida. Based in a traditional house in Shonan, I create ZINEs.
Until recently, I used to make somewhat light ZINEs that I whimsically called "Chara ZINE."
Lately I've been making slightly playful things, such as ZINE cards that display a self-introduction when held up to a smartphone, and traveling ZINEs that are passed from hand to hand.
Rather than having a strict theme or conclusion, I often casually put on paper things I'm curious about or still thinking through at the time.
I'd be happy to connect through ZINEs.

Edited and published by: Kojiro Hasegawa (Organizer of the small publishing unit 'After-School Beer')
Due to the popularity of the feature 'Basic Techniques for Pairing Beer and Food,' we have expanded the pages and completed the 7th printing (the 6th reprint). In this reprint, we have newly included a feature on how to pair the ever-popular 'Biryani' with beer.

A new beer magazine (ZINE) born in 2022. We have released three issues so far, and both 'Ariake Book (Introductory Issue)' and 'First Issue' have sold out due to positive reception, so we have combined the two issues and reprinted them! We have switched the binding from the traditional saddle stitch to perfect binding (a binding with a spine), making it easier to handle. Furthermore, in the expanded revised edition, we have added 8 pages to the feature and propose a total of 8 sets of 16 pairings of beer and food.
Here is an introduction to the contents.
The feature is 'Basic Theory for Pairing Beer and Food.' Not many people have had a terrible experience pairing beer and food. That's right; beer and food generally pair well even 'just like that.' Hence, we have included theories and examples to bring about a 'delicious great change' that surpasses that. You can use them from your very next meal.
In addition, there are plenty of exclusive contents, such as manga tracing each member's story of coming to love beer and Hasegawa's insights as a translator with 'Proposals for English Translations of Beer Vocabulary.'
For those opting for PayPay payment, we will send the PayPay ID via email, so please send an email to the address below first.
