Noran Nijino Talk & Signing — Publication Celebration for Newest Work 'Akari no Tomoru Hello' (Sakurayama-sha)
14:00–15:30Noran Nijino, who made a striking major debut with 'Sono Humming wa 7' at KADOKAWA. Her new book, 'Akari no Tomoru Hello', which the author says is her favorite work, has been published by her local Nagoya publisher Sakurayama-sha. To commemorate the publication, we will hold an author talk and signing event. On the day there will be a reading by Tomoko Shio. Please look forward to it. -

Tokai Tanka Anthology 2026 'Uta no Tane' Editors' Afterword Talk Event
18:00–20:30"We wanted to provide a venue for people with a short history of composing tanka to present!" This project started from that passionate desire. Two tanka poets who were responsible for planning, editing, and publishing will talk about their motivations. Speakers are Satsuki Suzuki and Bunchō Nagai, with guest Hiroyuki Ogiwara. Kusamura Summer Festival
10:00–17:00We will hold an in-store pop-up event featuring zine creators and handmade artists. It's a two-day event on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23. There will also be pop-ups by Manila Books & Gift, which carries overseas zines, and moku-zakka, which produces wooden goshuin-cho (temple stamp books). The pop-ups will run from Tuesday, August 18 through Sunday, August 23. While browsing the store, please take a look at the zine and handmade creators' booths! -

Children Deprived of the Right to Dream — Talk Event Commemorating the Publication of 'Children on Provisional Release: Targets of Japan First'
18:30–20:00Journalist Shinichi Ikeo, an editorial board member of the Chunichi Shimbun (Tokyo bureau), will be invited to commemorate the publication of his latest book, 'Children on Provisional Release: Targets of Japan First'. Through his reporting on children and their families who, despite being born and raised in Japan, are not permitted by national and local governments to live in Japan because they lack residence status—and therefore cannot envision future dreams—we will hear in detail about the realities and problems of Japan's immigration policies. -

Publication Commemoration Lecture for "The Science of Working" — A Health Economics Researcher on Working Productively Without Compromising Health and Happiness
