The 2nd Jimbocho ZINE Fair held in Jimbocho. An event gathering unique publications such as zines, little presses, and art books. It will take place at Ochanomizu Sora City Conference Center on July 20, 2026, from 11:00–18:00. Free admission.

The quintessential landscape of my hometown, Mie— memories of people and the town that surface in my mind. In the 1950s (the Showa 30s), to a child's heart, the presence of everyone was the whole world. I quietly recorded the things that were gradually being lost in the passage of time.

At 17, I rode a bicycle— Tsu, Kumano, Owase, Matsusaka. Tracing the sea and roads of my hometown, Mie, this book records days of youth and memories of an era. The winds of the Showa era, the breaths of the people who lived on the land, and a boy's feelings. I have recorded 'that summer' left beyond National Route 42.

Having spent many years working on shipbuilding sites, I have watched the sea, people, machines, and the memories of an era. These days, in the form of novels, essays, and zines, I write about the memories of journeys and places, and the people I met in manufacturing settings. I have a fondness for the flashy, but I'm also happy with simplicity — I aim to create works that quietly remain in someone's heart.

At a snow sports day, I realized how clumsy I am while searching for mandarins buried in the snow. When someone says about butter corn ramen, “I can’t eat butter on carbs — the calories scare me,” I want to ask, “Then isn’t there butter in that tarako pasta of yours?” The helpless feeling of not being able to answer the origin of the name "Kochan-fo" even though you rely on Kochan-fo. A Dosanko essay written by an author born and raised in Hokkaido. Whether you live in Hokkaido or not, why not get a taste of Dosanko life? ☆As a bonus, a small bookmark-sized photo will be included.

"Ito-Yokado was not just a supermarket, but like a member of the family, like a part of myself — that sort of presence." (From the afterword) At the beginning of 2025, Ito-Yokado withdrew from Hokkaido. Ito-Yokado, which opened around the time the author was born and which the author's family had been using since before they had memories, was like a second home. Shopping at a supermarket may seem like an ordinary everyday routine, but whether in sickness or in health, the supermarket the author visited countless times alone or with family was one of those important places that went beyond "just a place to shop." In this zine, the author — who continues to love Ito-Yokado — passionately talks about what they felt while using Ito-Yokado, memories of Poppo and Famille, part-time work experiences, and products they want to recommend.

A ZINE event held at Osaka City Central Public Hall. Date: Sunday, December 13, 2026, 11:00–16:00. Admission: ¥500. Exhibitor spaces are one booth (half-table size); fees vary by plan (e.g., ¥4,800 / ¥5,800 per person). Note that consecutive exhibiting with ZINE Fes Bungei (Osaka), held in October, is not permitted.

A ZINE event held at Osaka City Central Public Hall, themed on poetry and diaries. General admission is from 11:00 to 16:00; admission fee is ¥500. Please note that consecutive exhibition with the December ZINE Fest Osaka is not allowed.

Bungaku Flea Market Kyoto 11 will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2027, from 12:00 to 17:00 at Kyoto City Industrial Promotion Hall "Miyakomesse". 1,800 booths are being recruited. From this event onward, admission for the Kyoto edition will be paid. Vendor applications are open from 2026/6/5 to 10/5.

Saki and Shiori are high school classmates who have been friends for ten years. They love reading and always talk about books whenever they meet. The two decided to try an exchange diary focused on books! It's a casual, easygoing reading ZINE filled with loose, hand-drawn illustrations. I made it so that every time you read it, you feel like you're chatting with a friend (^-^)v

Friends Saki and Shiori, who have been reading books together since high school, tried doing a “book exchange diary”! The second installment is out. Reading retreats, late nights, detours, funny stories... and more. I've packed in the cheerful everyday moments shared with books. I'd be happy if you read it casually, like joining in on friends' conversations (^-^)v

More than 100 booths will participate across the two days. Enjoy a special pop-up by PASSAGE by ALLREVIEWS, a collaborative bookstore from Jinbocho, workshops making book tools using leather and knitting, and a food truck serving coffee and baked goods.
