to mon ami — "to my friend" I write stories born from films, books, and fragments of everyday life. /illustrated diary/poetry art/ultra-short fiction/digital collage I exhibit and sell works and zines at events. I also participate in one-box used-book markets.

This is an illustration book. It contains drawings by Daitaieto. It was made as an experiment in a new bookbinding method. By combining thread-sewn binding and crochet, it has an adorable spine. Various kinds of yarn were used.

I experience time as shapes and spaces. The months are arranged like loosely curved bands, and each day of the week has a fixed form. This seems to be a sensation called "synesthesia," but to me it is simply an ordinary landscape. In this zine, I recorded the scenes visible within the shapes and spaces of time by drawing diagrams.

What exactly does 'normal' mean? This zine unravels the oddness of what is considered 'normal' in everyday life through six books discussed in a reading group and 19 keywords. A zine that tentatively searches for clues to escape a society that makes life hard. A personal project that digs into everyday curiosities through a self-published zine. “murrma” is a word from the Wagiman people, an Indigenous group in Australia, meaning 'to search for something underwater using only the feet.' Searching by relying solely on the sensations of the feet, without using hands or eyes, may resemble an act of sharpening one’s senses toward stories that tend to be overlooked. murrma's main themes are environmental issues and human rights. We approach social issues, which can become rigid, with a gentle mind.
