Would you like to work together on creating ZINEs in a calm space surrounded by books? So — Book cafe&Bar Yorimichi, which just opened this February, will host a work session at the bookstore. Feel free to chat casually or work quietly on your own. On the day before a birthday, I make the sponge that becomes the base for a shortcake. I let it rest for a day so the fluffy texture becomes moist, then spread whipped cream and arrange the fruit. Only I in my family can make that base, so I bake it with a sense of responsibility. This work records that process in detail, like a report.
