Life Is So Fleeting It's Euphoric
This, the author's fifth work, is a combined edition that collects the first work 'A Life That Wants to Be a Frog', the second 'The Sanctuary of Kinks', and the third 'Being a Boy' into one volume. It is an essay collection largely on the themes of life and ideas, and, having continued to express these enduring sentiments, the works were compiled into one volume at the time of a reprint. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that reading this will give you a basic understanding of 'Maepu' lol Across the journey from the first to the third work you can sense shifts in my mindset; at times I express opinions that contradict earlier ones, but there is no falsehood in what I believed then, so I hope you enjoy those changes as well. Size: Width 115mm × Height 152mm × Spine 17.2mm Page count: 272 pages Maepu Born on Earth in 2000. Began writing activities in 2023. Self-published a total of six books, including 'My Cause of Death Is Diabetes', 'Life Is So Fleeting It's Euphoric', and 'Worries Are an Adult Happy Meal'. Has been ready to be approached by publishers for three years. Lumberjack.
Worries Are an Adult Happy Meal
This is the author's 6th self-published book. An essay characterized by glimpses of eroticism within a philosophical style of writing — sometimes intellectual, sometimes silly. Includes prose expressing humanity and vivid photographs shot on monochrome film. Below is an excerpt from the text. "Words are a revolutionary tool for conveying one's will to others, but sometimes I feel there's no need to be bound by them. Who cares about vocabulary or production cost — honestly, it doesn't matter. There are times when a person's feelings or actions cannot be expressed in words." Size: Width 115mm × Height 152mm × Spine 11.6mm Page count: 180 pages Maepu Born in 2000, from Earth. Began writing activities in 2023. Self-published six books in total, including 'My Cause of Death Is Diabetes', 'Life Is Too Fleeting and It's Euphoric', and 'Worries Are an Adult Happy Meal'. A distinguishing feature is a mole behind the ear.
My Cause of Death Will Be Diabetes
This, the author's fourth work, is an essay collection themed around "food". It chronicles the author's thoughts on themes common to everyone: the eating habits of a single man in his twenties, an inseparable relationship with food, and human relationships formed through food. You can enjoy the author's persona — someone who claims not to care about others' evaluations yet is strict about his own, and who is intoxicated by a careful way of living. Below is an excerpt from the main text: "If my cause of death in the future isn't an accident, it will surely be diabetes. But that's fine by me. How luxurious would it be if I could die from sugar. And today as well, I polish off four doughnuts." Size: Width 115mm × Height 152mm × Spine 6.1mm Pages: 120 Maepu Born in Aichi Prefecture in 2000. Began writing activities in 2023. Self-published "A Life That Wants to Be a Frog" (2023), "The Sanctuary of Sexual Preferences" (2024), and "Being a Boy" (2024). Favorite food: pudding. Disliked food: also pudding. (Because it disappears quickly.) SNS: @maepu_ Read the author's essays for free here: https://sizu.me/maepu
A Party for a Day of Walking Just for Me
One day, an invitation to a party arrives from a bear mail carrier. The protagonist sets off for the party, guided along by familiar figures.
Maepu
Maepu Born in 2000 on Earth. Began writing in 2023. Self-published six books in total, including "My Cause of Death Is Diabetes", "Life Is So Fleeting It's Euphoric", and "Worries Are an Adult Happy Meal". A small-time newcomer who only holds sway in the Nishimikawa area of Aichi Prefecture. Only good at padding the word count.
SHIFURI
I compile nostalgic landscapes, dream stories I've heard from people, and the liminal atmosphere between dreams and reality into fantasy-style zines.
Job-Hopping Chronicles (First Edition)
Yumemi Yuki's real-life experience of having changed jobs at more than 30 companies is presented as a true-account essay of about 13,000 characters. The author handled almost everything herself — writing, proofreading, cover design, etc. — with the exception of bookbinding. From general office positions to jobs obtained through connections, and work unique to certain regions and times, it picks out interesting types of work that can be done without any particular qualifications. The book compiles reports of jobs actually experienced and summarizes tips for switching jobs. From the second edition onward, a revised edition including readers' impressions and other feedback is planned.
Yumemi Yuki
Enjoys cyanotype and similar techniques. Tried to create an artbook zine but could not be satisfied with the result; instead completed their own essay zine about changing jobs—based on experience of changing jobs at over 30 companies—titled "Career Drift" (転職漂流記) in 2025. Currently writing a zine about hospitalization and surgery.
