Warm and Unsettling: A Diary of Everyday Life for Women in their 30s
"Warm and Unsettling: A Diary of Everyday Life for Women in their 30s" Published on April 5, 2025 / First Edition Published on June 2, 2025 / Third Print / Revised Edition (SOLD OUT / Reprinting) 800 yen (including tax) Expanding daydreams from roadside drops or laughing at children's slips of the tongue. Meanwhile, being unsettled by awkward marital relationships and sinking into a deep valley——. Both warmth and unease, along with children's growth and a husband's betrayal, are all part of everyday life. This diary of everyday life for women in their 30s is a story where the author wrote about "compromise in marriage" rather than "breaking up" or "putting up with," experienced while reading. This is the first ZINE created by Minori Kubo, who works as a bookstore manager and writer while crafting. Photos Taken by a 3-Year-Old
Photos Taken by a 3-Year-Old Published on December 14, 2025 500 yen (tax included) Looking back at the photos that a 3-year-old child took on a smartphone, there are many that are out of focus, too close to tell what's in them, and ones that just make you laugh. From an adult's perspective, they might be considered "not quite good photos." However, I wanted to preserve these photos taken by a child. As I pondered why, I realized something. — Children don't care about 'aesthetic' or composition. They simply press the shutter out of sheer 'like.' For me, an adult who tends to worry about what others think, that innocence was enviable. It doesn't matter if it's close up or incomprehensible, it's okay as it is. The sheer boldness and purity of their 'likes' are exactly what make up the current world of a child. One day, when I asked, "Why did you take this picture?" the answer was, "Hmm, I don't know! But isn't it cute?" Behind the happenstance compositions, there's undeniably a 'like.' At that moment, I decided to preserve these photos in the form of a picture book. In this book, photos taken by a 3-year-old are presented as they are, without any editing. The text deliberately refrains from over-explaining, leaving space for the reader. I hope people will see the incompleteness not as "missing parts," but as "evidence of that child's moved heart." I want to convey the liberating feeling of "it's okay not to take perfect photos" to those who love photography and art. I hope this picture book serves as a reminder for adults of the 'purity of their likes' that they might have forgotten. A5 size, saddle-stitched, 8 pages Photos by Rinko Kubo Text by Minori Kubo
Life and Unrequited Love
'Life and Unrequited Love' Published on November 23, 2025 1,000 yen (tax included) Instead of centering my life around my husband's betrayal, I re-narrated the nameless pain. I, who could neither be a victim nor a perpetrator, simply wished for recovery and wove my story as a 'living person' rather than a 'betrayed wife.' The superficial love of high school days, the opacity of the world, the words of family, the disappointment in my own shallowness—these added distortions have gently changed the future. 'Speak even the pain that sits between black and white, without a fixed position.' Essays for the past and present, and fiction as 'hypotheses' for the future. The concentrated emotions were turned into poetry between each chapter. Please share your 'Life and Unrequited Love' too. Wireless binding, paperback size, 94 pages ▷ Author Profile Author Minori Kubo Owner of the bookstore Yomuniwa / Writer / Picture book production director Her books include 'Cozy and Unsettling: A Diary of an 'A-Side B-Side' for a Woman in Her 30s,' and picture books such as 'If the Buttons Are Mismatched' and 'Mirror, Mirror.' Starting Zindies to Connect You with ZINE
A service to visualize ZINEs being created across Japan, along with their creators and the shops or events that distribute them, aiming to create new encounters between you and ZINEs. ZINDIES is starting! The planners and developers will talk about the goals of this new service.
Zindies Opening Event@Online for Book Geeks

We welcome the participation of those interested in the technical aspects of the service. It will be held online. Please feel free to join when the time comes. Sharing before and after the event using the hashtag #zindies on X, Instagram, note, etc. is highly encouraged.
Zindies Opening Event @ Kyoto(Unofficial)
# 1/12 @ Kyoto / Pre-opening event (details being finalized) We will hold a pre-opening event for the Zindies release in Kyoto. I'd like to gather acquaintances and have a small, informal conversation. Sharing on X, Instagram, note, etc. using the hashtag #zindies before or after the event is very welcome.
Zindies Opening Event@Tokyo
Zindies is a service that connects creators, delivery people, and enthusiasts around ZINEs as works, creating a world where many new works are born. https://zindies.co/ It is a service we have been developing since 2025, and it has finally reached a point of release. We will hold opening events in Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, and online, and this time, it's the 'Tokyo edition'. Zindies users are diverse, including 'creators', 'readers', and 'people who want to create ZINEs', but in the Tokyo edition, we'd like to consider the future of ZINEs, focusing on those who operate hubs for ZINEs, such as 'bookstores' and 'co-working spaces'. While we will explain the service, more important are the voices of those who run each place. Therefore, we are inviting Masayuki Waikei, who is extremely knowledgeable about independent bookstores in Japan, and Tomoo Ito, chairman of the Co-working Cooperative, to a talk session on the theme 'How to Create a World Where ZINEs Are Everywhere'. Furthermore, we will hold a 'ZINE Fair', a real-life event that reproduces ZIndies' concept of connecting ZINE creators and stores. In this case, 'stores' include not only bookstores and co-working spaces but anywhere interested in ZINEs and would like to display them. ZINE creators are welcome to bring samples. Approximate timetable: 19:00-19:10: Explanation of Zindies' service concept and overview (Development: Chikura) 19:10-19:45: Talk session 'How to Create a World Where ZINEs Are Everywhere' (Masayuki Waikei & Tomoo Ito) 19:45-19:50: (Break) 19:50-21:00: Real Zindies 'ZINE Fair β Version' (in a social gathering format, allowing interactions between stores and ZINE creators) We hope the following people will join us: * Store operators (not only bookstores and co-working spaces; anyone interested in or considering displaying ZINEs is welcome) * ZINE creators * Those interested in the ZINE movement This time, we are borrowing the lounge from Heartbeats, located in Shinjuku Gyoenmae, for this event. Heartbeats is a company engaged in maintenance and operation of internet services, and after we talked about the concept of Zindies, they kindly offered the venue with their support. Sharing on X, Instagram, note, etc., using the hashtag #zindies is very welcome before, during, and after the event. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse participation to any individuals engaged in multi-level marketing solicitation or other business purposes deemed incompatible with the event's objectives by the organizers.

A slightly mysterious experience story by an author who doesn't believe in ghosts. I don't think it's a ghost, but how should I explain this... I'm posting the stories in the order I remember them. Since they actually happened, some are ongoing or have no punchline, but that's just how it is... It's not really scary but might be a little scary? Maybe. 46P
Living in Belgium Full of Daddy Longlegs
A ZINE where I wrote down the parts I could remember from the five years I spent living in Belgium. It's filled with parts of living abroad that aren't glamorous at all. From daily life troubles to stories about getting sick, and even stories from when a terrorist attack occurred. Wow... a lot sure happened. 60 pages.
Recommended by Kani.
A selection ZINE collecting manga and books that might help middle and high school students with their studies. It features works particularly recommended by Kani (a second-year junior high school student at the time of editing) from books they have actually read. Kani is a fan of science (chemistry), so there are slightly more science books.
